Prequalification Procedures
Pursuant to Public Contract Codes 22032 and 22034 of The California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA), any Public Works construction or maintenance projects of $200,000 or less for all construction trades are subject to informal bidding procedures.
Contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered as a Public Works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1771 and subject to the requirements of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations to bid on projects.
Qualified contractors will be included in the Martinez Unified School District informal bid construction list for that calendar year but does not automatically guarantee that you will be informed of or included in all RFQ, RFP or bid requests. Notices will be sent out for the category of work being bid and the District may also announce project opportunities in designated trade journals.
To apply for inclusion on our CUPCCAA contractor/vendor list please complete the online application in the link below to complete for the current calendar year.
A review for new applications is done weekly; qualified contractors will be added to the posted list of Current Approved Vendors.
Contractors who are not approved will be notified of the missing information so that they may provide updates or corrections.
The enrollment period for the Martinez Unified School District CUPCCAA Program for the following calendar year begins December 1 and is open all year. Please be advised that a new application should be submitted each year to remain on the list.
The Martinez Unified School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all requests solicited, to waive minor irregularities, and make such decisions as deemed necessary in the best interest of the District.
The Martinez Unified School District is an equal opportunity owner/employer and will not discriminate against any bidder and/or contractor because of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin or ADA disability.
