The removal of a child from the general education environment occurs only when the nature or severity of the disability is such that education in the general education classroom with the use of supplementary aids and services cannot be achieved satisfactorily.

To the maximum extent appropriate, children with disabilities, are educated with children who are not disabled.
The department is responsible for the following:
MEDICATIONS REMINDER
Student medications not picked up by a parent or authorized adult will be discarded after the last day of classes. District policy requires parents to resubmit all medications with a new Authorization to Administer Medication form at the start of the new school year.
TDAP REMINDER
California state law requires all students entering 7th grade this fall to have a Tdap booster shot before starting classes. Students will not get a class schedule without proof of the vaccination.
